New Year New Project

Starting off the New Year with this lovely colourful Project.
 (Dancing Umbrella) A pattern l bought from Laundry Basket Quilts a few months back and have been excited about.
After buying a layer cake of very colourful batiks and some white /off white background fabrics.
Started cutting and applying heat and bond to the batik fabrics. Scanned the pattern into my Scan N Cut and proceeded in cutting all 42 Umbrella's out. This process took some days to complete.
This is a temporary layout only wanting to see the play of the colours.  Have a way to go before l start to adhere the applique to the background squares and trim to size.

Nora our cat is very partial to running across the fabrics and playing with the design. So will have to press when she is in bed for the night.     Will keep you all updated as l progress.
