Baby Makes Family Of Six.

As some of you would already know, l will be a Nan  in April of 2015, a product of the recent wedding celebrations.  Found this little cot panel in one of my many tubs.
Was wondering what the best way of using this panel might be.

Should l cut it apart and rejoin adding as l go or leave and simply quilt the panel.

I do  not normally use panels. Any ideas out there.

A Night Away.

Was lucky to take time out of our busy schedule for a night on the coast. A good longtime friend from Melbourne came up to the Gold Coast so we made arrangements to meet up for dinner. Had a great night catching up on what the families have been up too.

This trip was two fold as (Son no.2) Sean and girlfriend Rachel were heading off to Melbourne for a quick trip which involves an interview for Rachel's nursing career. Wishing her much success in here chosen career path.

Whilst on the job career front (Son no 3) Lachlan has managed to score himself an apprenticeship as a motor mechanic with  prestige car dealer.  Which means he will also be leaving us to move to Brisbanne next week for a 3 month trail period. We also wish him much success. He tells me he will visit us on the weekends occasionally.  Hahaha.

Then there was one (son no.4) is finishing year 12 and tells us he will be heading West...sheep station he thinks. Only time will tell.

This  is what we all as parents work towards, but now that it could be just around the corner l am feeling both proud and no longer needed.

But l am sure this is only a temporary state of mind....so looking forward to their lives and careers expanding.

Space Organizer Bag

Started cutting out  my space organizer bag on Friday night whilst watching the footy with Hubby as the house was empty of children.
Which is becoming the norm around here lately.

This is one of my space saving  luggage collection pieces.  Purchased this fabric because it was not a fabric l thought many people would use therefore making my luggage collection standout at any airport or motel world wide.
My luggage collection kicked off about 2 years ago with the Homespun "POM" Magazines. Lots of great inspiration and plan on making more of the projects on offer in the magazine.

So l must remember not to dicard these magazines to quickly as l sort them.  Have done that a time or two before. LoL

Glenrose Patchwork Store

Glenrose b&b with adjoining patchwork store in Warwick great day out. Thought l might book a night or two with hubby then do one of there classes. Saw this beautiful fabric and just had to have for my Nan hope chest. Will make a cot quilt with it.
This fabric l thought l better pick up a least 2 meters for Lachlan's 21st quilt due in two years time. Some of the star sparkle in the dark. Bonus.

Friday Night With Friends

On Friday night l managed a little me time amongst drop off and pick ups ... pub night for boys ... rather drive them and pick them all up. So much for No more  mums taxi.
Finished off this cute little number, love the red ribbon  makes it pop.

Started another secret sewing project so cannot show you to much.
Making some of these Closet organizers for when we go travelling again everything stays neat in our cases.

Lachlan has asked for two for his cupboard for his suits. He would like his fabric to be Marvin the Martian, now where would l get that fabric.  Might have to settle for stars or space.
